Responsible AI and Information Security at Work
A focused 2-week course on using generative AI tools safely and responsibly at work: protecting confidential and personal data, verifying AI output, spotting deepfake and AI-powered scams, and writing an AI acceptable-use policy. Includes a recurring certificate valid for 12 months.
This two-week course gives every professional a practical framework for getting the benefits of AI without the risks. In Week 1 you will learn how generative AI works and where it fails, what information must never go into public AI tools, how data protection law applies, and how to verify AI output before you rely on it. In Week 2 you will learn to recognise AI-powered fraud such as cloned voices and fake video calls, understand the security risks of AI assistants and agents, and write a simple AI acceptable-use policy for your team.
It is suitable for all staff, managers, educators, content creators and small-business owners who use or plan to use tools such as chat assistants, writing aids and AI features in office software. It is the final course of the Digital Trust and Compliance learning path, building on Cybersecurity Awareness for the Workplace and Data Protection and NDPA 2023 Compliance.
Recurring certificate: AI tools and threats change quickly, so the certificate for this course is valid for 12 months. You will be reminded 30 days before it expires and re-enrolled at no cost to refresh your knowledge and earn a new certificate.
