These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Elite Skillhub at everchristy.org, an online learning platform operated by Everchristy International Ltd ("we", "us"). By creating an account, enrolling in a course or otherwise using the platform you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Privacy notice, which explains how we handle personal data.
1. Who can use the platform
- You must give true, current and complete information when you register, and keep it up to date.
- Learners under 18 may only use the platform with the consent of a parent or guardian. When someone under 18 signs up, we ask a parent or guardian to agree by e-mail; the account is activated only after they agree.
- We may refuse a registration, or ask for more information, where we reasonably suspect false details, misuse or a breach of these Terms.
2. Your account
- Keep your password secret and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at once at info@everchristy.org if you think someone else has used your account.
- One person, one account. Accounts may not be sold, transferred or used by a group.
3. Courses and enrolment
- Each course page describes the course, its level, its duration and any prerequisites. Some courses can only be taken after you have completed the courses they build on.
- When you enrol you get access to the course content for your own personal, non-commercial learning, for the period stated on the course page or, where none is stated, while the course is offered on the platform.
- We and our instructors may update, reorder or replace course content to keep it accurate and useful. If we withdraw a paid course before you have been able to complete it, we will offer you a comparable course or a fair refund.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in Nigerian naira (NGN) unless stated otherwise, and include any taxes we are required to charge.
- You can pay online through our payment providers (Paystack, PayPal) or by bank transfer where offered. We never see or store your full card details.
- Where a course offers payment in instalments, access may be limited or paused while an instalment is overdue, and restored when it is paid.
- Coupons apply only to the courses and period stated on the coupon, cannot be exchanged for cash and are limited to one use per account unless stated otherwise.
- A bank transfer counts as paid once we have confirmed that the money has arrived. Invoices for your payments are available in your account.
5. Cancellations and refunds
- If you are unhappy with a course, contact us at info@everchristy.org with your name, the course and the reason. We consider every request fairly and in line with Nigerian consumer protection law.
- We will not unreasonably refuse a refund where a course was not provided as described, could not be accessed because of a fault on our side, or was withdrawn by us.
- Refunds are paid back by the method you used to pay, less any charges that the payment provider does not return to us. Once a refund is made, access to that course ends.
6. Certificates
- Certificates are issued when you meet the completion requirements of a course, such as completing lessons, passing quizzes and having assignments graded.
- Each certificate carries a number that anyone can check on our verification page.
- We may withdraw a certificate that was obtained through cheating, impersonation, a payment that was reversed, or any other breach of these Terms.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, download, record, share, sell or publish course content (videos, documents, quizzes, answers) outside the platform, unless the course expressly allows it;
- cheat in quizzes or assignments, submit someone else's work as your own, or help others to do so;
- harass, insult, threaten or discriminate against other learners, instructors or staff, or post unlawful, offensive or misleading content in messages, forums or reviews;
- upload viruses or harmful files, try to break into accounts or systems, test our security without written permission, or overload the platform;
- use the platform to advertise, send spam or collect other users' data.
We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or close accounts involved, as described in section 11.
8. Your content
- You keep ownership of the work you submit (assignments, forum posts, messages, reviews, notes).
- You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and process that content as needed to run your courses: for example so instructors can grade your work, other learners can read your forum posts, and reviews can be shown on course pages.
- Reviews must reflect your genuine experience of the course. We may decline or remove reviews that are false, abusive or unrelated to the course.
9. Our content
All course materials, videos, texts, graphics, logos and software on the platform belong to us, our instructors or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Apart from the personal use described in section 3, no rights are given to you.
10. Instructors
Instructors must only publish material they own or are allowed to use, keep course information accurate, treat learners fairly and respectfully, grade honestly and on time, and keep learners' personal data confidential and use it only for teaching on the platform.
11. Suspension and closing an account
- You can close your account at any time in Settings. How and when your personal data is erased is explained in the Privacy notice.
- We may suspend or close an account, or remove access to a course, if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if a payment is reversed or not made, or where the law requires it. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to respond.
12. Availability and liability
- We work to keep the platform available and secure, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may take it offline for maintenance, ideally with notice.
- Courses are for education. We do not guarantee any particular result, job, grade elsewhere or professional qualification unless a course page expressly says so.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim about a course is limited to the amount you paid for that course. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when we add features or when the law changes. The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by e-mail or on the platform before it takes effect. If you continue to use the platform after that, the new Terms apply.
14. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@everchristy.org so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot agree, the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have as a consumer to use other bodies or the courts where you live.
